A Shining Site for Authors

A beta version of the literary social networking site Redroom.com is active. The San Francisco-based start-up aims to connect authors and their readers, using blogs, podcasts, even video clips. So far, so good: Salman Rushdie, devorah major, Ishmael Reed, and T. Coraghessan Boyle have all contributed content. A portion of the advertising revenue from the website will be donated to charity.
