Dan Walsh, author/creator of the brilliant book Garfield Minus Garfield (and the blog of the same name), pointed out something very cool. Jim Davis, creator of Garfield, actually likes Walsh's idea of removing the cat from the eponymous cartoon, leaving behind only his owner Jon.
