
According to an article in
Variety Joel and Ethan Coen have postponed their film adaptation of Michael Chabon's novel
The Yiddish Policemen's Union in favor of a movie version of Charles Portis' classic western
True Grit. The Coens intend to stick closer to Portis' original story than did the 1969 John Wayne version.
