One of the more entertaining daily email newsletters I get is the Very Short List. It's not quite a list, being only a single item a day. Recent items have included a link to a Japanese commercial in which Keifer Sutherland spoofs his 24 character and a neo-gypsy cover of "Born to Be Wild." Today's item heaps praise on the second volume of The Paris Review Interviews. "[Y]ou'll find a pearl of wisdom on practically every page (Faulkner: "All of us failed to match our dreams of perfection"); if you can't wait, just skip to the interview with Stephen King at the end."
Another thing I love about VSL is their Venn diagrams, placing each item in its proper sociological context. Below is the one for The Paris Review Interviews.--David E
