Tuesday is the New Monday

Tuesday is the day that new books are generally released, and next Tuesday (Uno de Mayo) is no exception. New releases for the day include

• Animal, Vegetable, Miracle : A Year of Food Life
  Barbara Kingslover and her family move to a farm in Appalachia for a year, living off the land and what they and their neighbors can grow. The book also provides a list of resources for budding off-the-gridders or anyone who wants to live a more sustainable life.
  
• Not So Big Life : Making Room for What Really Matters
  Architect and designer Sara Susanka brings her “build better, not bigger" aesthetic to the ways we spend our days, urging calm and space instead of rush and worry.
  
• The Yiddish Policemen's Union
  Michael Chabon's new novel imagines a Jewish homeland in Alaska, of all places. Chabon himself will be in town for May's Talking Volumes
  
• Rant : An Oral Biography of Buster Casey
  Now for something completely different... Chuck Palahniuk's dark religious parable recounts the fast life and blazing death of Buster, a serial killer in a dystopian future.
