We've been working hard to expand our new book stock, so it's nice to be reminded of our roots. Magers & Quinn has been named the Best Independent Bookstore (Used) by the local free weekly, the City Pages. The write-up loves our used stock, saying, "M&Q's buyers are discerning, so the treasure-to-trash ratio is above average, but they're also democratic, so they have pulp paperbacks as well as the letters of Robert Lowell, a shelf devoted to books on "sexual fulfillment," and a good amount of German philosophy."We are vast. We contain multitudes.
