Arundhati Roy, author of The God of Small Things has announced that she is at work on a new novel. Since the publication of her first (and only) novel in 1997, Roy has focused on non-fiction and environmental activism.Details are few. Reuters reports, "Roy would say little about her next book, except that she had been spending a lot of time in India's troubled state of Kashmir. Nor is she sure whether her new project will work -- but she said she was relishing the writing process again."
