The Lulu Blooker Prize nominees for 2007 have been announced. A "blook" in the organization's parlance, is "book with content that was developed in a significant way from material originally presented on a blog, webcomic or other website." Last year's winner was the blog-turned-book Julie and Julia, Julie Powell's account of a year spent working through the recipes of Julia Child's classic cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
This year's shortlist includes titles from establishment blogger Markos Moulitsas (Daily Kos); store favorite My Secret, a collection of confessional postcards from around the world; a book based on a soldier's blog from Iraq; and even a book that arose from a series of photos on Flickr.
