The End is Just Beginning

Joshua Ferris' new book Then We Came to the End got a great review in the New York Times Book Review this weekend. It's a rave; they call the book "expansive, great-hearted and acidly funny." The NYTRB also posted the book's first chapter online.

There's also a posting at Gawker.com in which Ferris takes a swipe at fellow author darlings Johnathan Safran Foer (Everything Is Iluminated) and Foer's wife Nicole Krauss (History of Love). If you fancy a tempest in a teapot, this is a fun one.
